Private client desired a magical blending of the Sonoran Desert and the deep ocean ~ It is amazing how coral and ocean life reflect similar composition/elements to desert life. The Desert portion of the Portal includes Native mesquite, saguaro, hedgehog cactus, and a curious Road Runner ! The ocean portion features six sea turtles (the first five commissioned in 2023) and over fifteen different coral types. These corals are special as their reference images were direct from my client’s family member whose doctorate is in marine biology/coral reef environmentalism/education.
